Clara H Fiske Scott; (1841 to 1897[1]) , the "Wizard of the North," was born in Edinburgh August 15, 1771, and educated in the high school and university of his native city.
Biography
The leading events of his career as a poet and novelist are so well known that they do not need to be repeated here. Two of his hymns appear in this Hymnal, and are every way worthy of the genius of the author. Scott died at Abbotsford September 21, 1832.[2]
